Role Overview

This position, based in Singapore within the AI Pod, is centered on collaborating with Temasek Portfolio Companies (TPCs) to implement AI-driven transformation initiatives that foster value creation. The role contributes to a wider mission of catalyzing AI adoption across portfolio companies, translating visionary AI concepts into practical, impactful outcomes. It emphasizes bridging technical capabilities, domain expertise, and business leadership to accelerate the transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AI transformation initiatives by advising portfolio company management on AI strategies aimed at generating measurable value through scalable and sustainable business models.
• Identify and address challenges or bottlenecks in AI adoption by connecting them with relevant skills and resources within Temasek's ecosystem, ensuring seamless collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive playbooks outlining AI transformation strategies by combining insights from emerging AI technologies with deep business understanding and partnership development.
• Facilitate the diffusion of AI capabilities and provide support to portfolio companies leveraging Temasek’s investments in cutting-edge AI funds, companies, and research institutions to accelerate value creation.
• Assist in shaping Temasek’s overarching AI strategy by evaluating AI opportunities across the firm and portfolio companies, prioritizing initiatives with high readiness and significant value potential; coordinate with investment teams and internal stakeholders to guarantee coherent and timely exchange of AI insights.

Qualifications and Experience

• Between 4 and 6 years of professional experience in management consulting and/or implementing AI solutions at production scale, with preference for candidates experienced in shaping or assessing AI products and commercial models.
• In-depth familiarity with predictive and generative AI models, machine learning frameworks, and the essential elements required for deploying scalable AI systems within enterprises; awareness of emerging AI infrastructure, tooling, and applications.
• Strong strategic mindset coupled with a practical, business-oriented approach and customer-first focus; capable of initiating and independently managing workstreams with effective prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, comfortable engaging with senior executives and cross-functional diverse teams amidst ambiguity and rapid change.
• Robust academic background with technical expertise—holding degrees in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics—or possessing substantial AI consulting, technical, or product development experience.
