Role Overview

The Assistant Chief Steward holds responsibility for overseeing inventory management of all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware. This role also involves leading the stewarding team to maintain a hygienic and safe environment for the food and beverage department. Key duties include ensuring thorough team training on chemical handling, dishwashing machine operations, and kitchen and equipment cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct management of recycling and garbage disposal procedures in compliance with governmental regulations and corporate F&B standards.
• Motivate and supervise the stewarding staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain compliance with Health and Safety codes and HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in stewarding operations, ideally at a supervisory or assistant chief steward level.
• Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach towards teamwork.
• Proficiency in computer applications for inventory tracking and generating loss/breakage reports.
• Certification in HACCP standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of hygiene and safety protocols.
