Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Billing Manager at Godrej Properties, you will take full accountability for the Cost of Construction (CoC) management across all facets. Your responsibilities include detailed quantity take-offs and billing for the entire project, ensuring accurate and timely contractor invoicing through ongoing communication with Finance and Accounts. You will actively contribute to the project manager and costing team by preparing comprehensive monthly reports on budget status, cost tracking, billing processes, and procurement activities.
Effective coordination with external stakeholders such as consultants and contractors is essential for delivering cost-related outputs. You must proactively identify and communicate issues regarding project progress, cost variations, and quality concerns. Preparation of CoC documents at various design phases and integration of existing costing data to meet planned profit margins within internal teams are also key duties. Additionally, you will propose strategies to optimize CoC and enhance project profitability and be deeply involved in on-site operations to maintain stringent control over construction costs.
Understanding and fulfilling needs communicated by the C&B head, Project Director, and Operations Head forms a critical part of the role.
