Area Manager - Dark Store

Role overview

This position supports Ninja’s dark store operations in the North region of Saudi Arabia, with no specific city assigned. The Area Manager is accountable for the day-to-day performance of multiple functions or sections within the dark store, making sure operations run smoothly, teams stay coordinated, and customer demand is met efficiently.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate daily activity across different dark store functions, including stock control, order picking and dispatch, quality checks, and customer support.
• Work toward operational targets, service commitments, and agreed performance standards, ensuring they are consistently achieved or surpassed.
• Define clear expectations for team performance, support staff through coaching and development, and manage workforce requirements to keep the team productive and engaged.
• Review workflows on an ongoing basis, identify bottlenecks or gaps, and put process improvements in place to raise efficiency, output, and service quality.
• Track KPIs and other operational data to evaluate how the supervised departments or areas are performing.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a management position handling multiple dark stores, or comparable managerial experience in e-commerce or grocery retail operations.
• Good knowledge of dark store operations, especially inventory handling, order fulfillment, and quality assurance.
• Awareness of applicable regulations, compliance requirements, and workplace safety practices.
• Strong communication and people skills to work effectively with store staff, inventory teams, supply chain teams, and operations leadership.
• Must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
