Architectural Lighting Designer

About the Role

Join our expanding team as an Architectural Lighting Designer based in Doha, Qatar. This position offers a unique opportunity to craft innovative lighting solutions for a variety of environments including facades, interiors, landscapes, and public spaces.

Responsibilities

• Design architectural lighting layouts for both exterior and interior spaces such as facades, landscapes, streets, and parking zones.
• Develop lighting concepts, detailed plans, calculations, and comprehensive documentation.
• Create realistic renderings and visual demonstrations to support presentations.
• Utilize DIALux and comparable software to conduct lighting simulations.
• Evaluate lighting specifications, shop drawings, and select appropriate fixtures.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, and other project participants.
• Prepare necessary material submittals and assist in securing approvals.
• Ensure adherence to standards set by IES, CIBSE, and relevant local authorities.
• Support sustainability goals by contributing to GSAS certification efforts and other eco-friendly initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Have between 5 to 8 years of experience specializing in Architectural Lighting Design.
• Skilled in using DIALux, Adobe Photoshop, and V-Ray for lighting design and visualization.
• Strong understanding of lighting technologies, fixtures, and industry regulations.
• Excellent skills in visualization, communication, and presentation.
• Capable of handling multiple projects efficiently and meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GSAS or other sustainable design frameworks.
• Knowledge of BIM and additional design software tools.
