Role Overview
This role challenges engineers with complex support tickets requiring deep investigation beyond scripted responses. The ideal candidate excels at diagnosing unclear issues across multiple technologies by analyzing logs, APIs, JSON payloads, and HTTP status codes, while critically validating AI-generated suggestions.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve difficult customer issues by blending expert troubleshooting with AI assistance, ensuring sound judgment overrides blind AI reliance.
- Own each case from start to finish, including clear documentation of diagnostics for subsequent engineers and AI integration.
- Proactively learn multiple products rapidly, operating independently without frequent managerial direction.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- A minimum of two years' experience in technical roles such as support engineering, software development, QA, or DevOps.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON data handling, HTTP error code interpretation (e.g., 401, 404, 429), command-line interfaces, and log analysis.
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Claude) in technical problem-solving.
- Fluent professional English communication skills both written and spoken.
- Availability to work full-time hours between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM UTC (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern).
Preferred Qualifications
- Background supporting enterprise or B2B SaaS software customers.
- API debugging experience using tools like Postman or curl.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot across diverse technology stacks.
- Developer-level understanding enabling code reading and API tracing when necessary.

Employment Information
This full-time remote position operates under an independent contractor agreement with Crossover, offering an hourly pay rate of $30 USD, equivalent to $60,000 annually based on 40-hour work weeks and 50 working weeks per year, with payments processed weekly. Immediate joiners preferred.
