APAC Controllership Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controllership Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore, focusing on the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting processes. You will play a key role in financial reporting accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional and international teams to support strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the precision, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial reporting and processes related to controllership, including month-end close, year-end statutory financial processing, Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet analytics, tax compliance, and financial accounting.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports to diverse stakeholders such as finance leadership, business partners, auditors, and regional accountants.
• Contribute subject-matter expertise to cross-finance initiatives for APAC product launches, partnering with stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Develop proactive solutions to current or forecasted issues by identifying and analyzing risks and formulating comprehensive plans.
• Recognize and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency or increase value, including updates to policies, guidance, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) credential.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting or a related function, or at least 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Preferred: MBA or Master of Science in Accounting (MSA).
• Expertise in project management aspects such as planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, documentation, and problem-solving including anticipating challenges and managing work plans.
• Experience with AI tools to enhance processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and practical experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Collaborative work style with ability to engage effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
