Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Analyst will partner closely with senior Investment team members to identify, evaluate, and acquire institutional-grade neighborhood retail and mixed-use properties across various U.S. markets. This role involves leading all financial modeling and analysis while supporting due diligence and deal closing activities. The Analyst will apply advanced modeling, statistical and quantitative techniques to assess data and present actionable investment insights to senior leadership, operating within a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative entrepreneurial environment.

  • Conduct analytics, research, and sophisticated financial modeling to support acquisition and disposition underwriting across multiple markets
  • Leverage Argus Enterprise and Excel to analyze critical performance metrics such as income growth, IRRs (unleveraged and leveraged), equity multiples, and return on invested capital
  • Manage due diligence processes including coordination and review of third-party consultant reports, site visit arrangements, tenant lease abstractions, historical operating statement analysis, scenario planning, and investment closing workflows
  • Provide analytical assistance for debt capital markets and investment management activities, encompassing property-level strategic plans, budgeting, forecasting, tenant and leasing evaluation
  • Draft detailed investment committee memoranda and actively engage in investment committee discussions
  • Track and analyze economic and demographic trends pertinent to target markets and submarkets
  • Develop technical proficiency in areas like Argus Enterprise modeling, advanced Excel techniques, GIS analytics, and PowerPoint presentation

Required Qualifications

  • One to two or more years of experience in real estate investments, asset management, or capital markets
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with real estate acquisitions, capitalization strategies, and principal ownership structures
  • Strong mastery of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel modeling skills mandatory, with Argus Enterprise experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated work ethic, self-driven with sound independent decision-making capabilities
  • Strict adherence to deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a passion for quality and excellence in deliverables
  • Strong organizational and process management skills to effectively handle multiple priorities
