About the Role
Join Google Cloud as an AI Customer Engineer focused on retail, based in Singapore. In this role, you will collaborate with technical sales teams to promote Google Cloud’s AI solutions, developing prototypes, demos, and proofs-of-concept to support customer adoption and success. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, aiding in sophisticated AI workloads and providing essential feedback to guide product improvements. This position demands excellent communication skills and a strong ability to tailor solutions to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical solutions for advanced AI-related workloads, working closely with sales teams throughout the customer journey from technical evaluation to implementation.
- Create custom development and prototypes aligned with customer-specific requirements to secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Offer expert technical consulting and maintain strong client relationships, contributing insights to develop reusable assets and solutions within the Go-To-Market team.
- Engage with product and engineering teams to document, prioritize, and resolve customer feature requests and challenges.
- Represent Google Cloud at customer locations, conferences, and other events as an advocate.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in cloud-native architecture in customer-facing or support capacities.
- Proven ability architecting AI-infused solutions integrating enterprise data using frameworks like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Text-to-SQL, and semantic search.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Java to build demos, prototypes, or customer workshops.
- Preferred experience includes building AI agents with frameworks like LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or Google AI Agent Development Kit (ADK).
- Familiarity with cloud services such as SaaS, iPaaS, business process automation, cloud infrastructure, AI agent technologies, and networking.
- Experience presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
- Knowledge of integration protocols such as OpenAPI and Model Context Protocol (MCP) and observability practices including distributed tracing, logging, and audit logging for AI applications.
