Job description
Overview
Join the Land Transport Authority (LTA) as an Active Mobility Enforcement Officer, where you will enforce regulations on public roads and paths to ensure the safety of all users. You will perform patrol duties independently or as part of a team, targeting violations by motor vehicles and active mobility devices. Beyond enforcement, you will act as an LTA ambassador promoting awareness and responsible usage of such transport modes, contributing positively to community safety.
Training and Development
Selected candidates are required to attend a 3 to 4-week training program that includes a written competency evaluation. This course equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to fulfill your role effectively.
Requirements and Expectations
- Applicants with relevant enforcement, operational, or public-facing experience will be considered, with potential for more senior roles based on proven performance.
- Holding a Class 2A driving license or higher is advantageous.
- Physical fitness, good eyesight, and normal color vision are essential.
- Must possess a positive mindset, self-discipline, and the capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Ability to maintain calm and problem-solve under pressure.
- Willingness to perform shift and ad hoc duties, including support for major national events occurring on public holidays.
- Capability to assume varied enforcement assignments within the Authority.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; skills in Malay, Tamil, or Mandarin are considered an advantage.
