Accountant

Role overview

Unico Interior Designs is looking for a dependable and detail-focused Accountant to manage the company’s everyday financial work. This position centers on keeping books accurate, handling payments, and supporting accounting needs tied to interior design projects.

What you will do

• Record routine accounting transactions and keep ledgers up to date in Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
• Create client invoices, monitor outstanding payments, and follow up to ensure timely collection.
• Process payments to vendors and carry out proper reconciliation of accounts.
• Maintain project-specific tracking for costs, budgets, and profitability.
• Manage petty cash usage and employee reimbursement claims.
• Work with internal teams on billing, procurement, and financial reporting tasks.
• Support payroll calculations and related accounting entries.
• Compile monthly financial summaries and reports for management review.
• Keep financial files, records, and statements neatly organized and accessible.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline. Experience in a similar accounting role is preferred, especially within interior design or a service-based business. Strong working knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks is expected, along with excellent accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage work independently and on schedule.

Compensation

The role offers a monthly salary in the range of INR 15,000 to INR 25,000.
