3D Designer - Hybrid

About the Role

Based in Farnborough with a hybrid working arrangement, this role offers an opportunity to design stands and activations for renowned brands including Amazon, HP, Technogym, Simba Sleep, and Butternut Box. The position involves working closely within Tecna's 20,000 square foot headquarters that features an on-site workshop, enabling direct collaboration between design and fabrication teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate briefs, sketches, and client ideas into compelling 3D designs that effectively communicate a story and meet commercial objectives.
• Deeply understand client brands, target audiences, and market positions to ensure design concepts are relevant and strategically aligned.
• Participate in client meetings alongside the sales team to help shape project briefs from the outset.
• Deliver presentations of concepts, mood boards, floor plans, and renders, clearly explaining design rationale.
• Collaborate with the sales team to prepare precise cost and sales estimates, consulting expertise across departments as necessary.
• Stay informed on materials, technological advances, and competitor installations in the exhibition sector.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in 3D design software; familiarity with SketchUp and V-Ray is preferred, but experience with other platforms is acceptable with willingness to learn.
• Strong event and design portfolio showcasing visualization skills.
• Understanding of how design intentions are maintained in relation to build feasibility, health and safety, and site limitations.
• Attention to detail and strong commercial awareness to operate within client budgets.
