About the Company
RJV has been operating since 1955 and is recognised as a major civil engineering contractor in Western Australia. The business has built a strong standing in the civil construction sector over many years.
Role Overview
They are looking for a dependable and hands-on yard person to support workshop operations. The position is based in a workshop setting, with projects and work locations across the Perth metropolitan area. The role comes with a competitive hourly rate, as well as overtime loadings and allowances.
Key Duties
- Help with day-to-day workshop activities such as setting up, tidying the area, and carrying out manual tasks.
- Wash, care for, and maintain both mobile and fixed assets.
- Use basic tools and equipment safely while being supervised.
- Move materials and tools between locations, following proper load restraint practices.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and preparing sites.
- Flag any missing or damaged tools and equipment.
- Follow workplace safety requirements and take part in safety meetings and briefings.
About You
- You hold a current WA manual driver’s licence.
- You have a forklift licence or EWP licence.
- You possess a valid Construction White Card.
- You are physically capable of performing manual work.
- You work well with others and bring a positive attitude.
- Experience in civil construction or similar environments is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
