Become part of a supportive team that values collaboration. We are seeking a Switchman (w/m/d) for DB InfraGO AG at locations including Eilenburg, Falkenberg/Elster, Leipzig, Torgau, or Zeitz.
Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually execute shunting operations at mechanical signal boxes in the Eilenburg, Falkenberg/Elster, Leipzig, Torgau, or Zeitz shunting yards.
- Set up complete routes, including switches, tracks, and signals, to ensure safe train departures.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues at adjacent signal boxes, train drivers, and control centers.
- Issue, receive, and transmit operational messages and timetable information.
- Monitor rail tracks and secure them during disruptions.
Requirements
- Possess expertise and experience in mechanical signal box technology, or be willing to acquire these skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of responsibility, reliability, and the ability to act competently and professionally under pressure.
- Must be medically fit for duty as a Switchman.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
