You will rely on strong customer service abilities, confidence working with systems, and a practical mindset to help waste services operate effectively. The role also involves passing on customer feedback to improve processes, contractor delivery, and waste outcomes across Tauranga.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle customer questions and service requests, such as kerbside collection updates and invoice-related queries.
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to support timely service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate, user-friendly information across knowledge systems, processes, and digital channels.
  • Share customer feedback to support contract oversight, performance discussions, and service enhancements.
  • Look for practical ways to simplify processes for both customers and colleagues, then help put those improvements in place.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience in waste services, customer support, administration, or a comparable role, or a relevant qualification.
  • Substantial experience working with complex systems or databases to manage information.
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly to different audiences.

  • Confidence in building effective working relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine interest in improving how work is done.
