Role Overview
This role is responsible for directly supervising warehouse team members and keeping daily warehouse operations running to standard. The supervisor will oversee staff discipline, workflow timing, loading and scanning accuracy, linehaul movements, compliance with procedures, and ongoing team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Make sure all warehouse employees are properly dressed in the required uniform.
- Track and manage warehouse deadlines so work is completed on time.
- Maintain accuracy across scanning and loading processes.
- Ensure linehaul vehicles arrive in the morning and depart in the evening as scheduled.
- Review performance while in transit/on route.
- Hold regular one-to-one discussions with team members.
- Analyse operational and staff data to support reviews and decisions.
- Ensure all warehouse work follows service requirements and SOP standards.
- Carry out consistent one-to-one meetings with staff.
- Handle performance management activities.
- Complete PDs with the assigned employees.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of prior supervisory or management experience in transport or logistics.
- Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- A strong results-focused mindset.
- Good planning and organisation capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused approach with relationship-building ability.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Full clean driving licence.
