Warehouse Receiving Officer

Job Summary

The Warehouse Receiving Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse. This position involves meticulous tracking of stock, conducting regular physical counts, and overseeing the entire process from receiving and inspecting goods to their proper storage and eventual dispatch. The goal is to support efficient inventory management through precise documentation, prompt reporting, and strict adherence to established company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform frequent stock counts and comprehensive inventory audits to guarantee the precision of inventory data.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found in inventory records and stock levels.
• Maintain a current and accurate inventory database using the company's designated management system.
• Supervise the process of receiving goods, verifying that quantities and product quality align with company standards.
• Examine all incoming materials and products, promptly reporting any issues such as shortages, damages, or quality defects.
• Organize and manage the storage of inventory to optimize accessibility and control.
• Ensure that outgoing goods are accurately picked and dispatched according to specifications.
• Compile and maintain all necessary inventory documentation, including receiving slips, stock movement logs, and dispatch notes.
• Produce regular reports on inventory status and stock levels for management evaluation.
• Track inventory quantities and alert relevant departments when stock needs to be replenished.
• Uphold company policies, inventory control procedures, and all safety regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory information and supporting documents.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or storekeeping is considered beneficial.
