Job Summary
Infant Prodigy Ltd is an expanding fast-moving consumer goods company in the food and beverage space, involved in importing and distributing 100% juice, energy drinks, sparkling juice, rice, vegetable oil, pasta, and confectionery products. The business is seeking a dependable and detail-focused Warehouse Officer to oversee daily warehouse activities at its Kumasi facility. This role will focus on stock control, safe and proper storage, accurate documentation, and the efficient movement of goods into and out of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept deliveries, check them carefully, and confirm that incoming items match the delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Store goods correctly based on product category, batch, and expiry date, while applying FEFO and FIFO stock rotation methods.
- Keep stock registers current and accurate using manual records and/or inventory management systems.
- Handle outgoing orders accurately and within timelines, making sure the right products, quantities, and paperwork are issued.
- Carry out regular stock checks and reconciliations, and investigate and report any stock differences without delay.
- Track inventory levels and alert management when stock is low, moving slowly, or approaching expiry.
- Maintain a warehouse environment that is tidy, well arranged, and aligned with health, safety, and food storage requirements.
- Work closely with sales, logistics, and procurement teams to support prompt product availability and delivery.
- Supervise and guide warehouse assistants and loaders when necessary.
- Ensure products are handled properly to reduce damage, breakage, and losses during storage, loading, and offloading.
- Record goods that are returned, damaged, or expired, and process them according to company procedures.
- Prepare and share regular warehouse and stock activity reports with management.
- Use and maintain warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and shelving appropriately.
- Support periodic audits and comply with the company’s inventory control policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- HND or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or stock management, preferably in the FMCG food and beverage sector.
- Current residence in Kumasi, or willingness to relocate there.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse and inventory practices such as FIFO, FEFO, stock-taking, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for stock tracking and reporting; familiarity with warehouse or inventory software will be an added advantage.
- High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and good organizational ability.
- Clear understanding of basic health, safety, and food handling/storage standards.
- Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks, including lifting at times and standing for long periods.
- Good supervisory ability and the capacity to coordinate a team effectively.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work with limited supervision.
- Valid Ghana Card and other necessary identification documents.
