Role overview
This full-time onsite position is based in Singapore (Keppel) and sits within Manufacturing Operations. The role reports to the Operations Leader and focuses on visual and dimensional inspection work to support product quality and compliance.
Core responsibilities
- Carry out visual and dimensional checks, along with area management for parts.
- Make sure work clearance, routing papers, documentation, and records are accurate and complete.
- For incoming inspection work, record the condition of parts correctly so the scope of work can be determined accurately.
- For final inspection work, confirm that parts meet all specification requirements.
- Stop non-conforming parts from moving to the next operation.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers with evaluations and audit-related activities when needed.
- Gather inspection data and share quality feedback with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers as required.
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and housekeeping duties.
- Help other departments with relevant assignments and take on any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Candidates should have one of the following combinations: GCE O Level or equivalent with 3 years of quality inspection experience; GCE A Level or equivalent with 2 years of quality inspection experience; NITEC in Mechanical Engineering; or another recognized technical training/certification considered relevant on a case-by-case basis.
Desired profile
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or Aircraft Engineering is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English is important.
- Familiarity with defects and common flaw types is useful.
- Ability to work with precision measuring tools is needed.
- Understanding of blueprints is required.
- Prior quality control experience in repair or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office tools is expected.
- Must work well as part of a team.
