About the Role
The Technical Head will oversee site-level technical operations for SSOS and ensure that all services are delivered smoothly, consistently, and in line with agreed expectations. The role involves coordinating across stakeholders, leading teams, managing resources, and supporting high-quality execution across multiple locations.
Technical Expertise
The position requires strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety, lifts, DG sets, and BMS. The role also calls for familiarity with technical site operations, maintenance support, and the practical coordination needed to keep facilities running efficiently.
Leadership and Coordination
The Technical Head will guide engineers, supervisors, contractors, and site teams with a collaborative approach that encourages accountability and teamwork. This includes assigning work clearly, supporting performance, and building trust with clients, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for day-to-day technical operations across assigned SSOS sites.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure services are delivered as per agreement and operational expectations.
- Lead teams in a way that promotes shared ownership, discipline, and consistent execution.
- Oversee budgets, financial controls, and resource planning to support cost-efficient operations.
- Drive operational initiatives and support process execution to meet performance standards.
- Coach the operations team, encourage learning, and help build a strong and capable workforce.
- Handle policy administration, documentation quality, and related site-level process compliance.
- Ensure discipline and operational readiness at sites, including uniforms, checklists, and local site requirements.
- Manage transition activities for newly launched sites.
- Ensure technical consumables, tools, tackles, and machinery are available for operational use.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure all joining documents for site resources are available on time.
- Arrange and oversee site-level training as required.
- Support medical insurance-related requirements for site staff, wherever applicable.
- Monitor site facility scorecards and maintain replacement records.
- Handle procurement and vendor management, including negotiation to meet business requirements.
Required Qualities
The ideal candidate should have strong people management ability, good communication and email-writing skills, and the ability to plan client visits and agendas effectively. The role also requires Excel proficiency, experience in maintaining reports, awareness of market conditions, and the ability to manage weekend sites and night shifts when needed.
