About the role

itsu [grocery] is seeking a Supply Chain Projects Lead to join its Supply Chain team in London. The business is a fast-growing, energetic chain of Asian-inspired healthy food shops, and the grocery arm extends its vision into retail and wholesale markets worldwide. In this role, you will act as the supply chain lead across new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) work, helping ensure every launch is operationally ready well in advance.

You will work closely with project teams and multiple internal functions, keeping supply chain stakeholders informed from the earliest concept stage through to the first customer delivery. The position involves strong cross-functional coordination, planning, and practical problem-solving to support successful launches and range changes.

Key responsibilities

Own supply chain readiness for product launches and assortment changes, making sure minimum order quantities, lead times, critical timelines, and supply chain risks are identified, agreed, and actively managed through the gate process.

Partner with project teams to represent supply chain interests across all NPD and EPD initiatives.

Work with the supply and demand teams to carry out scenario planning in line with risk and operations requirements at the right stage of the project.

Ensure product master data is accurate and shared ahead of launch.

Check that the correct barcode format is used and that artwork is produced and printed accurately, avoiding scanning issues at launch.

Collaborate with Customer Service to validate ordering systems and support a smooth first delivery from warehouse to customer.

Lead post-launch reviews to assess master data quality, process efficiency, and improvement opportunities.

Support broader procurement and supply chain initiatives, including repack and relabeling projects.

What the role requires

A minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, project management, or an operational role, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing.

Strong organisational ability with the confidence to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and juggle multiple priorities.

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Solid understanding of NPD gate processes and strong practical knowledge of supply chain operations.

Knowledge of Incoterms, freight, customs processes for food imports, and GS1 barcode standards is preferred, though not essential.

A flexible, positive, and collaborative mindset, with a willingness to adapt as the business changes.
