Role overview

Larsen & Toubro is hiring a Stores Executive in Durgapur, West Bengal. The role focuses on end-to-end stores operations, from material receipt and inspection to inventory control, storage planning, and compliance support.

Core responsibilities

• Handle gate-entry procedures, verify incoming documents, and carry out physical checks of materials received at site.
• Oversee unloading activities, follow safety practices, arrange storage, and post GRNs in SAP. Also manage user inspections and rejection entries in SAP.
• Process supplier debit and credit notes, support billing activities, manage transit insurance, generate e-way bills, and handle RGP/NRGP documentation.
• Maintain proper storage conditions by applying FIFO, preserving shelf-life items, and following material-handling and storage rules both manually and in SAP, including OEM-specific guidelines by material group.
• Execute transfer postings and consumption entries in SAP, while managing space optimization, spare parts handling, and logical/physical location mapping.
• Monitor inventory using perpetual inventory methods and selective stocktaking.
• Support internal and external audits, and coordinate with legal and government authorities when required.
• Apply working knowledge of power plant components and project materials, including how they function and what they require operationally.
• Plan and develop warehouse infrastructure and supporting facilities to align with project and operational needs.
• Inspect materials on receipt and during periodic checks to confirm quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.

The position requires strong understanding of warehouse processes, SAP-based material transactions, preservation practices for critical project supplies, and compliance-oriented stores management in an industrial/project environment.
