Role Overview

This position is for a technically strong and proactive Senior Sales Engineer who will support enterprise sales opportunities and help customers adopt Cohesity’s modern data security and data management platform. The role is ideal for someone who is growing their expertise in security, data protection, and cloud technologies while steadily taking on more ownership in complex customer engagements. You will work closely with Account Executives to progress new business and expansion deals by shaping tailored technical solutions, supporting the sales cycle from end to end, and building trusted advisor relationships with customers and partners.

What You Will Do

  • Present Cohesity’s Data Cloud offering to both technical and business stakeholders, covering backup, recovery, cyber resilience, and data security management.
  • Support the full pre-sales journey with discovery sessions, solution architecture, live demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Work alongside the Account Executive to define technical strategy for enterprise opportunities and help move deals forward.
  • Help customers fit Cohesity into their production environments and respond promptly and professionally to technical questions.
  • Run and assist with technical activities such as product demos, workshops, white papers, proposals, and evaluations.
  • Identify customer needs and potential risks, then design proof-of-concept work that clearly shows the value of Cohesity for cyber resilience and data security.
  • Support competitive replacement discussions by understanding the customer’s environment and positioning Cohesity effectively.
  • Share customer feedback with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to help influence product improvements.
  • Provide technical support after the sale or assist with project needs when required to help ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.

You should be comfortable discussing backup, recovery, storage, and cyber resilience across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud architectures.

A solid understanding of data security concepts is important, including ransomware resilience, immutable storage, encryption, and access control. Experience with proof-of-concept work, technical evaluations, and competitive positioning will be valuable. You should be able to turn technical architectures into clear business outcomes and work effectively through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with Account Executives.

Strong communication and presentation ability is essential, along with a professional, collaborative approach to managing demanding customer situations. The role also values the ability to use AI tools to improve productivity, simplify workflows, and support decisions.
