Job Overview

Vistas Global is looking for an experienced Software Engineer who can contribute across the full application lifecycle, including software creation, mobile app development, API work, application support, and web technologies. The position involves building, testing, deploying, and sustaining enterprise applications, mobile solutions, and internal systems, along with hands-on support for troubleshooting, server tasks, database assistance, and ongoing enhancements.

Applicants who can work comfortably in both Arabic and English will have an added advantage.

Core Responsibilities

Build, test, release, and support software solutions aligned to business needs.
Work with management, business stakeholders, and end users to clarify system expectations.
Prepare logic diagrams, flowcharts, and technical design notes.
Produce code that is maintainable, efficient, and scalable.
Improve and extend existing applications as business needs change.
Investigate defects, debug issues, and provide day-to-day support for production systems and web portals.
Review user feedback and convert it into practical system improvements.
Track application behaviour and fix performance or functional issues.
Develop and support iOS and Android applications.
Add new capabilities and enhancements for mobile platforms.
Manage API connections and integrations used by mobile apps.
Assist with application releases, deployments, and upgrades.
Handle issue triage and resolve defects in mobile solutions.
Design, create, and maintain APIs and web services.
Develop new APIs and update existing API components as needed.
Support secure integration between mobile front ends and backend services.
Contribute to scalable and secure API architecture.
Support applications running in on-premises and cloud environments.
Work with Microsoft and Linux server setups and web server administration tasks.
Assist with database support, troubleshooting, and administration across Oracle, MySQL, and SQL environments.
Protect data integrity and help maintain database performance.
Participate in Agile/Scrum activities such as sprint planning, design reviews, technical reviews, and code reviews.
Break down user stories into workable development tasks and collaborate with QA and business teams.

Technical Requirements

Strong background in software development and application maintenance.
Experience with mobile application development for iOS and Android.
Practical knowledge of API development, web services, and system integrations.
Ability to support enterprise applications, portals, and internal business systems.
Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, Linux, and Microsoft servers.
Working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server databases.
Exposure to SharePoint and SAP is beneficial.

Preferred Knowledge

Certifications related to SharePoint, Microsoft, Oracle, or Azure are considered an advantage.
Experience with payment gateway integration and mobile commerce is a plus.
Understanding of PCI, SOX, ADA, and security compliance standards will be useful.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
