Smart Utility Metering Analyst

Role overview

This position is for an experienced analyst to support smart utility metering operations in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on improving the quality, accuracy, and usability of metering data so that operational teams can make better decisions and reduce losses.

Key responsibilities

• Examine smart utility metering data to confirm it is complete, accurate, and dependable.
• Carry out validation, reconciliation, cleansing, and exception reviews on metering records.
• Turn data into insights that help improve operations, raise performance, and support loss-reduction efforts.
• Build, update, and manage automated dashboards and reports.
• Spot patterns, irregularities, and data-quality concerns, then work with the right teams to resolve them.
• Partner with Smart Utility Metering Operations, Metering, IT, and Engineering teams to strengthen data quality and usability.
• Provide management with ad-hoc analysis and performance evaluation support as needed.
• Follow data governance rules, confidentiality requirements, and company policies.
• Keep clear documentation for analytical models, reports, and the methods used.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• A certification in Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Analytics, or an equivalent credential.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in smart metering, utilities, or a similar environment.
• Strong hands-on ability with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and/or R.
• Experience working with large datasets and converting them into practical business insights.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• English fluency is mandatory; Arabic is an added advantage.
