About the role
The Services Consultant supports clients through the full lifecycle of implementation, whether they are joining Dayforce for the first time or moving to a newer Dayforce processing product. The role sits within a project team and focuses on delivering dependable, repeatable, high-quality implementation outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Handle implementation projects of varying size and complexity depending on the solution chosen and the client’s needs.
- Contribute to project planning and help keep delivery on track, aligned with internal procedures and client expectations.
- Coordinate with team members and other stakeholders, both inside and outside the team, to complete implementations successfully.
- Build collaborative working relationships with internal colleagues, customers, and peers.
- Independently resolve project issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Show solid knowledge of payroll and HR environments, along with awareness of related areas such as finance, benefits administration, labour relations, training development, and technical environments.
- Carry out early-stage client interviews for needs analysis and gap/fit assessment.
- Convert business needs into configuration requirements for Dayforce solutions.
- Prepare customers for go-live, including training support and first live payroll assistance.
- Test and document customized solutions while using analytical thinking to resolve complex issues.
- Design and run system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Protect implementation quality through testing, credential validation, and billing/remittance setup.
- Support a smooth handoff to the service team after implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Some exposure to basic project management principles.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in customer service, consultancy, payroll processing, or project coordination.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SaaS or cloud-based systems; HRIS exposure is preferred.
- Basic familiarity with SQL, XML, and relational databases.
- Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, or Oracle HR/Payroll.
- Capability to implement HRIS solutions from start to finish.
- Strong consulting approach with the ability to guide stakeholders, follow a structured methodology, and deliver practical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, logical, and detail-oriented thinking.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong problem-solving skills across different scenarios.
- Ability to translate business requirements into workable solutions.
- Good time management.
Working hours
Working hours may fall within Mauritian Time (11:30 to 20:30 or 17:00 to 01:00) and Eastern Time (09:00 to 17:00). Flexibility is required to work beyond standard hours based on business needs.
