Senior Manager - Inventory

Role overview

Zepto is hiring a Senior Manager - Inventory for its Bengaluru, Karnataka office. This role focuses on accurate inventory accounting, financial close processes, audit readiness, and control improvements for an e-commerce environment.

Inventory management

• Keep inventory records up to date and make sure all movements and transactions are properly captured and traceable.
• Regularly review inventory balances, stock movement data, and related accounts, including valuation work and month-end closure tasks.
• Apply inventory accounting rules, internal policies, and control procedures consistently.
• Assist with inventory planning and analytical support for e-commerce operations.

Financial reporting

• Compile and validate financial statements and reporting packs for both internal teams and outside stakeholders.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within the required timelines and with high accuracy.

Audit coordination

• Act as the main liaison for external audit teams.
• Build audit schedules and prepare supporting documents needed for the audit process.
• Review audit observations and carry out corrective actions where needed.

Chart of accounts management

• Assess and maintain the chart of accounts so it aligns with business requirements.
• Update the chart of accounts whenever new business initiatives or reporting needs require it.

Consolidation and risk controls

• Oversee consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities.
• Improve the existing risk and control matrix on a quarterly basis.

Eligibility

The employer is looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2 to 4 years of experience in preparing financial statements and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
