Senior Estimation Engineer - Landscapes

Overview

Urban Landscapes is a UAE-based landscaping firm focused on delivering landscape design, construction, and maintenance services of a high standard. The company is hiring a Senior Estimation Engineer (Landscapes) to develop precise project cost estimates, study technical requirements, assess design documents, and build bid submissions that are both competitive and commercially sound.

What you will do

• Build detailed cost estimates for landscaping construction work while making sure they align with the project scope and specifications.
• Examine drawings, design files, and project documentation to calculate the likely costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Work with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to collect the inputs needed for accurate estimating.
• Support the creation of tenders, proposals, and bid submissions for landscaping assignments.
• Research the market to keep pricing current for landscaping and pool construction materials, plants, labor, and other project needs.
• Assess cost-related risks and opportunities and factor them into estimates and bids.
• Keep estimates, tender documents, and related records properly organized and accessible.
• Deliver accurate tender packages on time and assist through the bidding process.
• Review value engineering alternatives that can reduce costs without lowering project quality.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to handle bid clarifications.
• Participate in meetings and site visits with clients, contractors, and consultants for relevant tenders.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience working as an Estimation Engineer in the UAE, with a background in landscaping and swimming pool construction.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscaping, or a closely related discipline.
• Solid understanding of landscape design, swimming pool construction techniques, and associated materials.
• Strong numerical ability, analytical thinking, and careful attention to detail.
• Capability to prepare and manage detailed cost breakdowns.
• Good written and spoken communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations and industry standards is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving license is preferred.
