About the Company
SiFi is creating a modern Office of the CFO designed to make finance simpler for every business. It is an expense management platform that gives accounting teams stronger control over company spending. The platform lets businesses issue cards with customized spending limits so money is used only for approved purposes. As the company grows, dependable data becomes a core layer behind financial accuracy, operational clarity, and AI-driven automation.
About the Role
SiFi is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and scale the base of its data platform. You will join the Data & AI team and work closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance. Your main focus will be to build and own the data platform, modeling standards, and AI-ready infrastructure so the business can rely on accurate, scalable, and trusted metrics.
This is a high-ownership position centered on building financial data infrastructure from the ground up. The role is based in Saudi Arabia and requires relocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain scalable SQL-based data models.
- Set up warehouse layers and define modeling best practices.
- Own KPI definitions and maintain one trusted source of truth.
- Protect financial accuracy and keep metrics consistent across the business.
- Design and improve the cloud data warehouse in BigQuery.
- Own data transformation workflows using dbt, SQLMesh, or similar tools.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Build and support production-ready AI/ML pipelines with attention to model quality, data integrity, and compliance.
- Strengthen data quality, integrity, and observability.
- Put access controls in place that meet compliance needs.
- Create a foundation that can scale for advanced analytics and AI use cases.
- Convert business needs into dependable data systems.
- Enable trusted reporting and BI across teams.
- Support experimentation and AI-led initiatives with well-structured datasets.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
- Strong command of SQL along with practical experience in data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery.
- Experience with modern transformation tools such as dbt or SQLMesh.
- Prior work on production-grade AI/ML pipelines is a strong advantage.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to take problems end to end and deliver outcomes.
