Senior Data Engineer

Opportunity

This is an urgent contract opening for a Senior Data Engineer to join a large enterprise data platform programme in Auckland. The role is very hands-on and suits someone who can jump into an active delivery environment, start contributing right away, and help expand as well as partly rebuild a data platform that is already in progress.

What you will bring

• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Pipelines, and PySpark Notebooks
• Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Synapse
• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 modelling
• Ability to develop Power BI semantic layers

Bonus experience

• Exposure to Informatica CDC ingestion
• Background in logistics, transport, warehousing, or other operational data settings

Important notes

The hiring team is looking for someone with real, hands-on capability in Microsoft Fabric and proven Data Vault 2.0 implementation experience, rather than only theoretical knowledge.
