Sales Estimator - Pre Construction

Role overview

Rentokil Initial is looking for a commercially focused Sales Estimator for its Pre-Construction team in Perth. The position suits someone with experience in estimating, tender preparation, and relationship management, and involves supporting residential and commercial construction projects with termite management and pest prevention solutions. You will work closely with builders and developers, helping convert opportunities into profitable work.

What you will do

• Prepare and lodge quotes, tenders, proposals, and RFQs with accuracy.
• Track builder and construction portals to identify fresh opportunities.
• Develop and sustain strong working relationships with builders, developers, architects, plumbers, concreters, and other construction contacts.
• Win new business while expanding and nurturing existing accounts.
• Produce estimates that are precise, commercially sound, and aligned with compliance requirements.
• Handle pricing and contract negotiations within company parameters.
• Offer technical guidance on termite management systems and building structures.
• Keep up with market activity, competitor developments, and broader industry trends.
• Work in coordination with Operations, Customer Service, Legal, and National Technical teams.
• Maintain organised records, reporting, schedules, and follow-up activity for customers.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will bring construction industry experience in estimating, sales, account management, or procurement, along with strong commercial judgment and negotiation ability. You should be comfortable reading plans and specifications, managing tenders and contracts, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders. Attention to detail, solid organisation, confidence with industry software and Microsoft Office, and a strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service are all important.

Preferred background

• A trade qualification or tertiary qualification related to construction is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to termite management systems or pest management is preferred.
• Experience dealing with builders and developers will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of Australian construction standards and common building processes is desirable.
