Retail Manager

Role overview

The Retail Manager will oversee the UAE retail network for Parfums de Marly and INITIO Parfums Privés, including boutiques and counters. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on strong operations, high-performing store teams, and durable client relationships.

Reporting to the Area Sales Manager for MEA, the role covers retail execution across the UAE and requires regular travel within the country, with occasional travel to France.

Retail excellence and performance

• Maintain high standards across all UAE points of sale, including visual merchandising, grooming, and brand presentation in boutiques, department stores such as Bloomingdale's, Harvey Nichols, Galeries Lafayette, and Sephora, as well as corner formats.
• Monitor each location’s results by combining KPI analysis with on-the-ground observation in order to identify issues early and decide priorities.
• Conduct regular store visits with a clear improvement plan for every site and ensure actions are followed through.
• Keep brand guidelines consistently applied across all retail formats and coordinate with Trade Marketing on visual merchandising execution.
• Lead the launch of new points of sale, covering recruitment, merchandising, training, and partner onboarding.

Team leadership and coaching

• Hire and develop Beauty Advisors and field teams across both dedicated and multi-brand environments.
• Work closely with Retail Education to communicate regional needs and make sure teams are included in onboarding and training plans.
• Oversee scheduling and monthly bonus administration with store and counter managers.
• Act as a reliable day-to-day partner for field teams and help create a strong sense of engagement and belonging.
• Provide in-field coaching and deliver regular, structured feedback to support individual growth.

Client experience and long-term relationships

• Ensure every client interaction reflects the identity and world of both brands.
• Develop local partnerships that generate qualified traffic and brand visibility.
• Identify VIP clients and niche fragrance connoisseurs and build structured long-term follow-up with boutique teams.
• Create and execute an events plan featuring masterclasses, olfactive workshops, and VIP activations designed to foster loyalty over time.

Business and reporting

• Prepare monthly performance reports for each point of sale, combining KPI data with field insights.
• Partner with Trade Marketing and Retail Education on activations and training needs identified in the field.
• Use core metrics such as conversion rate, average basket size, repurchase rate, and client satisfaction to guide coaching and development, not only to evaluate performance.

Profile and competencies

The ideal candidate brings at least 4 years of retail management experience in luxury, fragrance, or premium cosmetics, with UAE exposure preferred. This role suits a people-oriented leader who coaches teams rather than manages only to targets, and who can maintain strong brand standards across different retail environments.

Applicants should have experience building clienteling or event-based strategies aimed at long-term loyalty, be confident using Excel and KPI reporting, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt across teams, retail partners, and other stakeholders. English fluency is required, and French is considered an advantage.
