Role Overview
We are looking for a guest-oriented and energetic Reservations Agent to join the team at Rotana Ras Al Khaimah - The Mangroves. The role is centered on delivering high-quality service, handling reservations accurately, and helping create a smooth experience for guests and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and confirm room bookings submitted by guests through phone, fax, or written communication.
- Enter reservation details into the system carefully and handle questions, concerns, and special requests related to bookings.
- Stay informed about hotel promotions, room offers, policies, facilities, and booking procedures, and apply this knowledge when managing reservations.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the property’s products, pricing structure, and rate-control practices.
- Keep reservation records organized, maintain correspondence files, and prepare reports when requested by the Reservations Manager or Supervisor.
- Support positive public relations and contribute to maximizing business opportunities.
- Monitor room availability and status accurately at all times.
- Respond to incoming calls according to hotel standards, update information received by fax, and keep a close check on incoming emails.
- Arrange visa requests for hotel guests in line with hotel policy and take upselling opportunities whenever appropriate.
Education and Experience
A diploma or degree in hospitality is required, along with prior experience in hotel reservations. The role also calls for strong computer skills and very good written and spoken English. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
