Role overview
We are seeking a meticulous Remote Data Entry Specialist to support a distributed team. This is a fully remote role with flexible scheduling, and you can work from any location within your region. In this role, you will contribute to smooth business operations by entering, checking, and organizing information used by different departments. Success in this position depends on precision, consistency, and the ability to work independently on structured, repetitive tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Input high volumes of information into internal databases, spreadsheets, and management platforms.
- Convert details from digital files and documents into the required format.
- Revise and keep existing records up to date so the information stays reliable.
- Maintain orderly digital folders and filing structures for quick retrieval.
- Review entries carefully before finalizing them.
- Spot and fix mismatches, errors, or irregularities in data sets.
- Run regular quality checks to preserve database accuracy.
- Apply required formatting and documentation standards consistently.
- Handle customer records, inventory data, financial entries, and administrative files.
- Use spreadsheets, CRM tools, and specialized data entry applications.
- Prepare summaries or reports for management when needed.
- Keep information structured to support reporting and operational analysis.
- Treat sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Follow internal privacy, security, and data handling policies.
- Store and manage records securely while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Skills and qualifications
- Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with 98% or higher accuracy.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet software.
- Working knowledge of databases or CRM systems.
- Good organization and time management abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and stay productive in a remote setup.
- Strong eye for detail and a clear commitment to data accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Basic understanding of data privacy and confidentiality practices.
- Comfort using cloud-based collaboration tools is an advantage.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Personal computer with a current operating system.
