Real Estate Analyst

Overview

The Real Estate Analyst will contribute to the long-range planning of the property portfolio and support the Real Estate Development team with recommendations on individual assets aimed at improving financial performance. The role also includes project support for acquisitions, dispositions, rehabilitations, and financing activities across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Help guide the portfolio’s long-term direction by reviewing financial data and preparing property-level strategic recommendations.
• Support the creation of operating and financial forecasts used in short- and long-term business planning, including materials for the Portfolio Oversight Committee.
• Conduct financial evaluation and analysis for acquisitions that are not tax-credit based.
• Review and analyze rehabilitation projects from a financial perspective.
• Analyze debt financing matters, including financing tied to acquisitions and rehabilitation work.
• Assist the Real Estate Development Manager in making sure all initial projections are completed in line with established guidelines.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
• Strong capability in analysis, organization, communication, and relationship-building, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfort working with financial concepts and performing detailed financial analysis.
• Ability to function effectively as a project manager when coordinating and leading initiatives.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, including strong spreadsheet ability for analysis and reporting, are required.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Spanish fluency is considered an advantage.
• The position involves travel to current properties, newly acquired assets, and work-related conferences, with overnight travel expected.
