Quantity Surveyor - Site Based

About the Role

Parsons is hiring a meticulous site-based Quantity Surveyor to handle commercial and contract administration on major wastewater infrastructure projects in Tabuk. Working directly at the project location, you will verify measurements, confirm quantities, and certify completed work across assets such as wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and deep utility networks. Your work will help ensure contractor payments match actual site progress and stay aligned with project budgets and contractual obligations.

What You Will Do

• Carry out detailed field measurements and quantity checks to confirm monthly progress statements and interim payment certificates.
• Visit the site regularly to inspect completed work and make sure reported quantities match the actual work executed.
• Assess variations, site directives, and change requests related to wastewater lines, earthworks, and structural concrete work.
• Support the review and resolution of commercial claims by examining site diaries, records, and RFIs to understand cost implications.
• Keep commercial documentation complete, accurate, and traceable, including measurement records, tracking sheets, and material delivery logs.
• Work closely with Resident Engineers and construction teams to resolve differences between drawings and installed quantities.

Required Experience and Technical Background

You should have a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management. Professional membership or accreditation such as MRICS or AIQS is considered a strong advantage. The role calls for at least 7 years of hands-on construction experience as a Quantity Surveyor, along with direct exposure to wastewater networks, treatment plants, or similar wet infrastructure utilities.

Strong command of civil engineering measurement standards such as CESMM4 or POMI is essential, as is familiarity with FIDIC contract forms. You should also be comfortable using AutoCAD, Excel, and commercial management tools used for project controls and contract administration.
