Program Manager – New Product Development

Role overview

Reliance Industries Limited is expanding its giga-factory operations to support the fast-growing electric vehicle market. In this role, you will drive new product development for the mobility portfolio and help bring next-generation products from concept to compliant launch.

This position brings together customer inputs, engineering decisions, supplier coordination, and regulatory readiness. It is well suited to someone who wants to manage complex programs end to end and own delivery across multiple functions.

What you will do

• Convert customer discussions and needs into clear, detailed product requirements.
• Prepare focused technical specifications and evaluate design trade-offs, including how changes in one parameter affect the overall system.
• Partner with the technology team throughout the full product development lifecycle.
• Work with suppliers to make sure components meet the required part-level specifications.
• Create and maintain product documentation such as control plans, drawings, and process flow documents in coordination with technology and manufacturing teams.
• Set up the project charter, define milestones, and monitor execution against the program plan.
• Coordinate product safety, regulatory compliance, and third-party validation at approved testing facilities.

Ideal background

The preferred candidate should have a mechanical engineering background along with a strong grasp of cell chemistry. The role requires someone who can connect hardware engineering with electrochemistry and work comfortably across both domains.

Experience of successfully completing at least one full new product development cycle for a hardware product will be a strong plus, especially for someone familiar with taking a product from concept stage through compliance.
