Role overview
The Catalyst is hiring a Production Manager for its Shirwal operations near Satara. This role suits someone with strong hands-on experience in laser cutting, CNC, ERP systems, sheet metal work, metal fabrication, and lean/Six Sigma methods.
What the role involves
You will be responsible for leading production teams, managing budgets, and making sure the plant follows EHS and ISO standards. The position calls for someone who can keep production running efficiently while improving quality, output, and resource use.
Core expectations
- Plan and coordinate production activities to meet operational targets.
- Guide teams and maintain smooth day-to-day execution on the shop floor.
- Oversee budget control and resource allocation for production needs.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and ISO requirements.
- Work on production planning, quality assurance, and process improvement.
- Use ERP, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing systems to support operations.
- Drive efficiency through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and OEE-focused practices.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant should have a strong engineering background with practical knowledge of laser cutting, CNC operations, sheet metal fabrication, metal fabrication workflows, ERP, CAD/CAM, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma. Experience in process optimization, quality systems, and production resource management is important.
