Procurement Officer

Role overview

We are looking for a Procurement Officer with at least 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment. The role requires owning procurement activities end to end, coordinating closely with the Procurement Supervisor and the COO, and providing daily updates on progress.

Key duties

• Evaluate project, engineering, and production inputs to understand purchasing needs.
• Examine procurement documentation and turn it into accurate purchase orders.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and secure favorable terms.
• Raise purchase orders after completing technical and commercial evaluation, ensuring a minimum of 3 vendors are considered for each order.
• Plan, track, and coordinate the purchase of materials, equipment, and personnel-related requirements.
• Work with engineers to review and clarify material and equipment requirements.
• Apply the procurement department’s strategy and IT policy in daily work.
• Assess supplier performance and follow up on delivery and service quality.
• Create and track cost-reduction initiatives.
• Build and maintain inventory control processes.

Workflow and documentation

Trello must be used for procedure tracking. The Procurement Officer is expected to create task cards for required materials using project inputs and keep those cards aligned with actual progress, forecasted payment dates, and expected delivery timelines.

Experience requirement

Candidates should have more than 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment procurement or a related environment.
