Role Overview
Wagners is looking for an experienced and safety-focused MC-licensed driver to join the Toowoomba team. This position involves transporting cement powder across Queensland and Northern New South Wales in a late-model truck hauling B-double or AB-triple powder tankers.
What the Job Involves
- Driving primarily across QLD and Northern NSW in modern heavy vehicles with powder tanker trailers.
- Handling deliveries to customers safely and in line with required procedures.
- Completing all necessary paperwork, checks, and delivery documentation.
- Working mainly Monday to Friday, with overnight trips required and most weekends spent at home.
- Occasional weekend shifts may still be needed.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant has strong heavy vehicle experience, a clear commitment to safety, and the ability to manage trip documentation and fatigue requirements confidently. Powder pumping experience is helpful, though it is not mandatory.
Required Qualifications and Checks
- Current MC licence.
- Experience with Road Ranger gearboxes, which is essential for the role.
- Blue/White card, with support available to obtain it if needed.
- Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation, or a willingness to complete it.
- Experience using work diaries, delivery dockets, and day sheets.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug and alcohol testing, medical assessment, police check, and traffic history review.
- Must hold unrestricted permission to work in Australia.
