Role overview
Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA) is hiring a Planner (Enforcement) to support regulatory compliance work on the ground. This position involves inspections, public-facing engagement, and day-to-day handling of enforcement cases to help uphold URA’s standards.
Key work areas
- Carry out site visits and field checks to spot possible breaches, gather supporting evidence, and speak with people who may have relevant information about the case.
- Speak with homeowners and businesses when required, helping them understand the applicable rules and regulatory expectations.
- Use statutory authority where needed, including issuing formal notices to bring matters into compliance.
- Assess appeals carefully and recommend next steps using a balanced and measured approach.
- Handle difficult in-person interactions with members of the public, applying de-escalation methods while remaining professional.

- Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, building, or another closely related discipline.

Engagement terms
