Picker

Role Overview

The Picker supports supermarket order fulfillment by collecting items from the putaway area and store shelves, checking expiry dates, scanning each item, and making sure every order is accurate, complete, and prepared to company standards.

Key Duties

• Pick customer orders by scanning items one by one.
• Carry out quality checks on all products before dispatch.
• Confirm that all selected items meet the company’s expiry-date rules.
• Check out-of-stock items with the relevant section in charge.
• Share feedback when incorrect products are picked or item quality does not meet standards.
• Keep the putaway area tidy and move unused trolleys and crates to storage.
• Escalate issues to the line manager, such as incorrect product images, wrong shelf locations, or system-related picking problems.
• Make sure all putaway locations and crates have scannable barcodes.

Requirements

The role asks for a High School or Diploma qualification, along with around 2 years of experience, preferably in e-commerce operations. Experience in retail online business is an added advantage. Candidates should have strong spoken and written English, a solid grasp of quality control, and a good understanding of retail products.
