About the Role
This is a contract Photo Editor opportunity in the tech industry, based in the United States. The assignment is expected to run for 6 months and may be extended based on business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Find, evaluate, and secure photography and video assets that fit editorial, creative, and digital content projects.
- Choose visuals that strengthen storytelling across features, campaigns, and multi-channel media experiences.
- Work with creative, editorial, and design stakeholders to turn concepts and story directions into effective visual outcomes.
- Help shape brainstorming and concept development by suggesting images, photographers, and visual approaches.
- Oversee licensing, rights approvals, contract handling, and usage limitations for sourced photo and video content.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in photo editing, photo research, multimedia editing, or sourcing visual content in a creative environment.
- A solid grasp of editorial storytelling and the role imagery plays in narrative flow and user experience.
- Knowledge of photographers and visual artists working in portrait, documentary, conceptual, fine art, and similar styles.
- Experience dealing with image rights, likeness restrictions, contract discussions, and legal clearance procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with comfort collaborating across creative disciplines.
