About Us

Shwe Miikaan Limited Partnership is a partnership formed to represent the three First Nations communities of Shawanaga, Magnetawan, and Henvey Inlet. Role Overview

The Patroller is a key part of the maintenance team and is responsible for carrying out roadway maintenance on provincial highways, responding to urgent events such as spills and collisions in adverse weather, and supporting emergency response procedures. The role also includes traffic control at accident scenes in line with contract obligations.

When not actively on the road, the position requires accurate recordkeeping, including fuel logs, safety documentation, and hours-of-service reporting. The Patroller will also keep equipment clean and in working order, complete routine upkeep and minor repairs, understand snow and ice control decision-making for winter operations, coordinate equipment and operator callouts, inspect patrol activities, prepare deficiency lists for the Foreperson, respond to public concerns, and operate a range of equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid G class driver’s licence with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Prior experience in patrolling or roadworks
  • Working knowledge of the OTM Book 7
