Role summary
This is a remote contract opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer. The selected professional will support a client assignment focused on designing, refining, and validating mechanical systems while maintaining alignment with relevant industry and regulatory standards. The position also calls for active coordination with other functions to deliver reliable engineering outcomes.
What you will do
- Create, evaluate, and test mechanical parts and systems to confirm they meet project specifications.
- Prepare engineering drawings, schematics, and supporting documentation with CAD-based tools.
- Run structural, thermal, and fluid-flow simulations to check and strengthen design performance.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturers to improve production efficiency, manage cost, and support quality standards.
- Investigate failures, interpret test findings, and suggest practical design enhancements.
Required background and skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is expected.
- Hands-on ability with CAD applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent software.
- Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Understanding of manufacturing methods, materials science, and accepted industry practices.
- Capability to read technical specifications and apply relevant regulatory requirements correctly.
