What you'll do

• Assist customers with courteous, professional service and respond to their meat department needs.
• Prepare meat products for display and customer purchase.
• Set up and present the meat section when required.
• Keep the meat department clean, organized, and well maintained.
• Accept and process incoming meat orders.
• Handle special customer requests for meat products.
• Take part in ongoing learning and professional development.
• Follow company meat standards and comply with Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) requirements.
• Apply all relevant company policies and operational standards.
• Complete administrative tasks as needed.
• Train and support new employees and clerks in technical tasks.
• Support the Meat Manager or second meat clerk/department role, where applicable.

What you need

• Strong understanding of meat department operations and related skills.
• Ability to work on your own in a busy, fast-moving setting.
• High school diploma.
• At least 12 months of relevant experience.

Pay and benefits

The role offers an hourly wage of $18.25 to $21.75.
