Role overview
Deloitte Strategy, Risk & Transaction supports organizations in managing risk while identifying new ways to generate value. The team works across the full risk spectrum, from C-suite strategic risk management and board oversight to financial, environmental, cyber, regulatory, and forensic considerations.
What you will do
- Lead full-cycle functional analysis for complex treasury and transaction-related processes, partnering with business and technology teams to define desired outcomes and success measures.
- Assess current processes in detail and help shape realistic future-state workflows and operating models.
- Prepare high-quality business analyst deliverables such as business and functional requirements, process maps, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and impact analysis.
- Serve as a senior functional contact throughout delivery, helping teams manage scope, dependencies, risks, and changes.
- Work closely with stakeholders across business, operations, risk, finance, legal, and technology functions, bringing structure, clarity, and thoughtful challenge.
- Support initiatives involving digital assets, tokenized instruments, or distributed ledger technology solutions, including their effect on treasury operating models, settlement, liquidity, controls, and regulatory duties.
- Use sound judgment when evaluating emerging technologies, including DLT-based solutions, by weighing feasibility, implementation risk, and integration with existing systems and workflows.
- Maintain KDB infrastructure for analytics and research.
Requirements
- Substantial experience as a business analyst in investment banking or financial services, with a solid understanding of how large-scale technology-enabled change programs operate.
- Hands-on experience analyzing complex transformation or technology initiatives involving several systems, workstreams, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of transaction or trading lifecycles and how they affect operations, risk, finance, and reporting downstream.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, including the skill to bring structure to ambiguous situations and drive evidence-based outcomes.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models at scale.
- Confidence in engaging senior business and technology stakeholders, influencing decisions, and challenging assumptions constructively.
- Practical knowledge of digital assets or distributed ledger technology from a business/process perspective, enough to assess feasibility, operating model impact, and delivery risk.
- Ability to translate business goals and regulatory or control requirements into clear inputs for technology teams.
- Experience using documentation tools, code repositories, issue trackers, and collaboration platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple validations within tight deadlines.
- 6 to 11 years of relevant experience.
- Any graduate qualification preferred.
