M&A Intern

About the role

NEX Partners is an independent mergers and acquisitions advisory firm that supports founders, entrepreneurs, and investors with mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. This internship is designed for motivated candidates who want practical exposure to M&A, the chance to contribute to live deals, and direct learning from experienced professionals in a dynamic entrepreneurial setting.

What you will do

• Assist with financial models and valuation work.
• Help prepare pitch materials, marketing documents, teasers, and Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs).
• Carry out research on companies, industries, and market trends.
• Support due diligence efforts and transaction execution tasks.
• Take part in client meetings, management presentations, and investor discussions.
• Work with senior colleagues on live domestic and cross-border M&A assignments.

What we are looking for

• Excellent academic results from a top university or business school.
• Current studies in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
• Strong analytical thinking and numerical ability.
• Clear interest in M&A, corporate finance, and entrepreneurship.
• High motivation, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• Very good written and spoken communication skills in German and English.
