Lead - Test Maintenance

Role Overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a Lead - Test Maintenance to manage the upkeep, reliability, and performance of production test systems at its Coimbatore South, Tamil Nadu facility. The role focuses on keeping test equipment accurate, minimizing downtime, and supporting smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine validation checks and GR&R studies on test setups to confirm measurement repeatability and consistency.
• Track test yield patterns and investigate issues linked to equipment behavior.
• Work with vendors and OEM partners to resolve complex faults and implement upgrades.
• Protect test software and data through proper backup and recovery procedures.
• Contribute to improvement efforts that raise test efficiency and lower false rejection rates.
• Handle preventive and corrective servicing for ICT, FCT, and EOL test equipment.
• Diagnose equipment or system breakdowns and work to reduce line stoppages.
• Keep test instruments calibrated and functioning reliably and accurately.
• Provide quick support to production teams when test-related problems arise.
• Review failed tests and partner with engineering teams to identify root causes.
• Check that fixtures, probes, and connectors are operating correctly.
• Track spare parts and consumable stock required for test systems.
• Assist with NPI activities and verify new test station setups.
• Maintain test programs, related software, and version tracking records.
• Follow ESD, safety, and quality compliance requirements at all times.
• Train operators and technicians on correct handling of test equipment.
• Record maintenance activities, calibration details, and reporting information.
