Laundry Operative (Evening Shift)

Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time Laundry Operative to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Laundry Department at the Primary Factory. This evening-shift role runs Monday to Friday, with hours of either 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm or 3:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Key Duties

• Keep shared spaces and amenity blocks clean, orderly, and in line with standard operating procedures.
• Collect, sort, wash, store, and issue laundry items.
• Distribute PPE as required.
• Track inventory levels for laundry chemicals, soap, sanitizer, toilet paper, and towels.
• Use cleaning products exactly as directed and follow safe handling practices at all times.
• Make sure factory PPE is washed, dried, and ready each evening for use the following morning.
• Handle, use, and store cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Keep the Laundry Manager updated on daily progress, stock shortages, and any equipment problems.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be well organised, self-driven, able to complete tasks on schedule, and comfortable working independently. Strong communication, good time management, and the ability to prioritise effectively are essential. The role also requires someone who can work to tight deadlines, adapt to overtime when factory demands increase, and maintain excellent hygiene standards.

Previous experience in a commercial laundry, factory, or professional cleaning setting would be an advantage, though it is not required, as full training will be provided.
